Rally obedience is a rather new dog sport that offers both the dogs and handlers an experience that is fun and energizing. It is a terrific sport to use to build a working relationship between dog and handler that can serve as a foundation for other human-dog team sports.
During our 5-week course we will discuss various Rally signs for AKC and APDT Rally and you will learn how to perform each of the obedience-type exercises with your dog using positive reinforcement. The class will also incorporate small courses and challenges to practise the exersises learned.
Most activities will be done on leash.
All sizes and breeds are welcome.
Dogs should be at least 10 months of age, friendly with other dogs as well as people and be familiar with the following obedience skills: sit, down, stay, come and loose leash walking.
Bring your enthusiasm and have fun with your dog!Class fee: $135. Clicker and treats are provided.
