Famous Dutch Dog Trainer and
Performer Brigitte van Gestel's Workshops were a Great Success!
Dutch Top Trainer Brigitte van
Gestel came to Florida again for a few creative and inspiring workshops.
This was her third time in the Sunshine State and she already has quite a
following of enthusiastic dog owners and trainers.
Brigitte competes in Obedience,
Freestyle and Treibball at Dutch National, European and World Championships. Her
dogs are well known in Europe for appearances on TV. She freely shares her
knowledge on how to turn a Performance dog into a Super dog. Brigitte’s
enthusiasm and creativity are affecting everyone who attends her workshops all
over the world.
This year she gave the
following workshops exclusively at Dog Days in Palm Beach Gardens:
How do I
get my dog to do that? Tricks and behaviors the entertainment world is looking
for
Did you ever see dogs doing
amazing tricks on Youtube, in TV show and Commercials? Teaching your dog (yes,
even the old ones) new tricks is the most stimulating and exciting way to work
with your dogs. Brigitte took us back behind the scenes and showed us the
tricks of the trade. “How do I ever get my dog to do that?” Brigitte gave us the answer at this Tricky Workshop.
Great to participate – needless
to say, also a lot of fun to just come and watch.
One whole
day of Treibball (all levels) Brigitte is a certified Treibball instructor in
Europe.
“Rolling Sheep” that is what
the big yoga balls are sometimes called. Dogs have to bring home the large
exercise balls on cue of the handler. This is not an easy sport but when your
dog starts to understand the game, they are going to love it. Especially herding
dogs seem to be really good at this new sport that originated in Germany. To get
your dog to perform in the field, teams have to work on a few protocols.
Brigitte is a certified Treibball Instructor and she knows how to even make the
most complicated tasks a lot fun for the dogs and their
owners.
Participants worked at their own
level and it was a great class for auditors as well.

This workshop was meant for dogs
that are already performing in Rally, Obedience, Heelwork to Music or Freestyle.
This workshop was very hands-on and all teams worked at their own level. How
can you add that little something extra that would turn your good performance
into an incredible one? This was the chance for dog people in South Florida to
participate or audit an amazing Master Class with Brigitte who won the title
World Obedience Champion with her Dutch team at Crufts in England last
year.
Private or shared sessions with
Brigitte were also available.
